Ongoing Evacuation Of Waste From Lagos Abattoir

We received an SOS call from an abattoir in Lagos to come and save their environment from further pollution and degradation. The meat vendors obviously don't like the conditions they are in as some of them complained about the awful smell and how the 'rubbish' from their cows is bastardizing their environment.

As environmentalists, we could relate to their pain.. Apart from the negative environmental effect, Piling up waste in your environment is also hazardous to the health. In the event of methane build up in a waste pile, if care is not taken, it could result to an explosion.

We at Jobaye hence ceased the opportunity to see how we can turn their "rubbish' to resource, 'waste' to wealth and their trash to treasure.

We are fortunate to have a 150,000 Litre Biodigester at our disposal, Our mission is to feed this digester with 30 tonnes of this dung. With the help of some of the meat vendors we managed to evacuate about 20 tonnes today, we hope to finish evacuation tomorrow so we can start feeding our hungry digester.
