Established in the year 2014, we got incorporated with the Corporate Affairs Commission a year later. We are a team of young and vibrant environmentalists who rank among the foremost Biogas practitioners in Nigeria and West Africa.
Jobaye Environmental Solutions
was born out of necessity,
the company came into existence following the yearning of Nigerians who have
been complaining about power deficiency, scarcity
of fuel, waste management challenge and
the ultimate threat of Global warming.
Considering all these challenges, we are the only company in Nigeria that has
the wherewithal to provide complete solution to these problems.
Our current focus is on the organic aspect of the waste, We have done extensive Research and Development
work and initiated many projects to convert organic waste to COOKING GAS and
ELECTRICITY. Regarding the inorganic waste and other complex
environmental issues, we have a pool of technical, highly experienced,
local and foreign partners who are ready to collaborate with us.

2015 Best Organic Waste Recycling Initiative |
In October 2015, we won the
best organic waste recycling initiative at
the first West African Waste & Recycling awards held in Lagos, Nigeria. The
award was keenly contested among juggernauts in the waste management industry
but our Biogas initiative carried the day.
Waste To Wealth |
This report is a concise description of
the exact steps in converting organic waste to Biogas. Biogas is produced from the anaerobic decomposition of organic waste, It is
environmental friendly, non-explosive
and smokeless, The gas can be
used for cooking, heating, lighting and electricity generation. Fertilizer can also be gotten from the anaerobic
decomposition process.

Jobaye Monthly Workshop |
Workshop is held every 3rd Saturday of the month |
We periodically organize Seminars/Workshops on how to design Biogas plants which
takes place every third Saturday of the month at Yaba Industrial Estate, Onike
Road, Sabo – Yaba, Lagos.
The workshop is usually interactive where participants are thoroughly DRILLED on the process of producing Biogas.
Although the Workshop has received so much patronage from people around
Lagos; we have even had participants travel all the way from areas like Delta,
Ekiti, Ilesha… BUT We mustn’t shy away from the Geographical
challenge facing people that are not within Lagos and its
Environs.
We receive mails, texts, Calls
everyday from different parts of the country on how they can benefit from our
Green initiative without participating physically..
Jobaye has hence obliged to the overwhelming support by packaging the
workshop curriculum inside 1 Book.
We would be providing an easy to understand step by step instructions on
how to build a Biogas plant.

Biogas Production |
Biogas is the term given to the gas that ensues from the ANAEROBIC (Absence of Oxygen) decomposition of organic
matter. Biogas is a renewable source of
energy that belongs to the category of Biofuels. It typically refers to a gas produced from the
biological breakdown of organic matter in the absence of oxygen.
The anaerobic digestion
or fermentation of biodegradable
materials such as biomass, manure, sewage, municipal waste, food waste, plant
material and crops produces Biogas. Its normally produced inside a closed system, Fermentation
chamber, Bioreactor or Anaerobic Digester.
Biogas comprises primarily of
Methane (CH4) and Carbon Dioxide (CO2) and may have small amounts of Hydrogen
Sulfide (H2S) and Carbon Monoxide (CO).

Biogas Can Be Used To Cook |
This energy
released allows Biogas to be used as a fuel for any heating purpose - such as cooking. Biogas can be compressed, much
like natural gas and utilized.

Biogas Can Be Used To Power Your Generator |
It can be used in a gas
engine to convert the energy in the gas into electricity and heat
Purification Of Biogas |
It can also be cleaned and upgraded to natural
gas standards when it becomes Biomethane.

Biofertilizer |
The Biogas or
anaerobic digestion process also leaves a nutrient-rich digestate that can be
used as fertilizer.
Benefits
Energy cost savings
Improvement in sanitation and Hygiene
Renewable and sustainable
Reduces carbon footprint
No indoor air
pollution
No health risk
Non Explosive
Rich fertilizer.

Small Biogas Digester |
The whole process works like a big stomach: The food
(Feedstock) is fed into the mouth (Inlet) and excreted out of the Anus
(Outlet)… Th decomposition takes place
for about 2 – 4 weeks depending on the nature of the feedstock.
There are so many models of Anaerobic digesters but
they all have common features: Digester tank (where the organic material
is stored and the microorganisms work on them and release gas), Gas collector where the released gas is
stored.
The two most common types are the Floating drum digester and Fixed
Digester.
![]() |
Floating-Drum Digester |
In Lay man definition, The Floating Drum Anaerobic
digester 's Gas Collector floats on the organic material mixture (Slurry)
present in the digester tank and rises or moves down according to the amount of
gas stored.
WHILE
Fixed Digester |
The Fixed Dome Biogas plant is a type of Digester that serves both as digester tank and
gas collector. The gas can also be bottled externally.
In both cases the Feed stock is fed through the feed
pipe which is known as INLET of the digester tank, The fully digested
slurry drains out through the OUTLET (this can be collected, diluted and
used as fertilizer
for plants) and A gas pipe line from the Gas collector tank helps in utilizing the
gas for cooking and other highlighted uses.
Now let's get down to business and construct a mini Fixed Biogas Plant.
To aid you in the practical
proper, We have compiled a Step-Step guide on the Biogas Production process… This Ebook has over 100 Glossy pictures detailing the Construction
of a Biogas Digester, Precise way of mixing the Feedstock, Biogas storage and
Application.
